Researcher Profile
I am an environmental archaeologist specializing in archaeobotany, stable isotope analysis, and interdisciplinary approaches to past human–environment interactions. My research focuses on prehistoric societies of Southwest Asia and, more recently, Southeast Asia. I investigate cultivation strategies, the socio-economic dimensions of food production, and the role plants played in shaping and transforming forms of social complexity over time.
