The main scientific interests of Dr. Miglė Stančikaitė are focused on survey of the environmental history emphasising natural and human induced palaeoecological, palaeoclimatological and palaeogeographical changes throughout the last 15,000 years. Multidisciplinary and multi-proxy studies of lake and bog sediments as well as cultural strata play the leading role in reconstruction of vegetation history, history of the sedimentation basins, indication of human impact upon landscape at seasonal or decadal resolution scale.
